DELMARK ALL-STARS at Thalia Hall featured on a great coverage by Peter Hurley. Thank you Peter, thank you Brett Bonner and Living Blues Magazine. The closing event for Delmark Records 70th anniversary took place at the gorgeous Thalia Hall, in the South Side of Chicago, December 20th, 2023. The band was Dave Specter & Mike Wheeler (guitars and vocals), Roosevelt Purifoy (keys), Larry Williams (bass) & Greg Rockingham (drums). Also Greg Guy and Rick Kreher were featured as guest guitar players, and Steve Bell on harmonica. Featured vocalists were Demetria Taylor, Sheryl Youngblood, Willie Buck, Carlise Guy and Mud Morganfield. Jimmy Burns sang with the Soul Message Band who is featured in his upcoming album. Billy Boy Arnold made a rare and warmly welcome performance. A historical night for all.
