A big thank you to our dear friends Robert Jr. Whitall and Shirley Mae Owens, aka Sugar, for their recent issue of Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine that stars Delmark Records. The cover of the magazine features a wonderful large group picture of many who were involved in the 1st annual Delmark Stroll, the wildly successful live music fest outside of Delmark on Rockwell held in September 2021. There is a whopping 25 page (!) feature story and interviews with Delmark’s Julia Miller & Elbio Barilari, along with Delmark recording artists Bob Stroger, Dave Specter, Jimmy Burns, Mud Morganfield, Mike Wheeler, Linsey Alexander, and Demetria Taylor. There is also a section on friends of Delmark involved with the Stroll, including Earwig’s Michael Frank, Lynn Orman, Liz Mandeville, Peter Hurley, Donna Herula, Scott Kempler (Wang Dang Doodle Tees,) and Kevin Johnson (Proud Papa Promotions.)
