Blackbird was a Chicago jazz label in the 1960s – 1970s. The original LP “Live at the Old Town Gate” was an album of trad jazz released in 1966. Eddy Davis, was a banjoist and bandleader from NYC, who enjoyed a sprawling career in traditional jazz, most visibly through a decades-long association with Woody Allen.
