Delmark Records’ warehouse manager/shipping clerk Frank Corpus has worked continuously full time at Delmark for 25 years – CONGRATS on that amazing feat, Frank! As you know, in every successful family company, there are many people who work “behind the scenes” who don’t always get the proper recognition, putting endless hours of important arduous work that is vital to the success of the biz! Frank is that guy, always the smiling face, answering phones, emails, setting up display booths, shrink wrapping product, taking orders, packing up orders, and making sure your orders arrive safe and great sound and in a timely fashion! Make sure you say hello to Frank and give this all around great guy, gentleman, and BEATLES fanatic (and extremely talented artist himself) a big congrats on his long time commitment to Chicago’s Delmark Records!

So the story goes…Back in the late ’60’s Iggy Pop (James Osterberg at the time) and friends from Michigan sought out the Jazz Record Mart and Bob Koester to soak up some authentic west side Chicago blues. Well, after much shenanigans, Bob ended up throwing them all out saying, “You’re nothing but a bunch of STOOGES!!” That night, Iggy and the Stooges were born!
Here’s an example of Frank’s fascinating detailed original drawings that were up at Delmark’s “Art Gallery” in 2021
Both as Delmark’s shipping manager and Beatles connoisseur Frank Corpus is a very familiar character in Chicago’s music scene. Frank is also an accomplished visual artist and photographer. This show presents over 40 works by Frank, both on paper and on canvas.
