Jamiah Rogers Album Release Celebration: “Chicago Cowboy” –South Side Stories
Over 50 years after Jimi Hendrix set the music world ablaze, Jamiah Rogers, alongside a select group of his contemporaries, is reigniting the fire with their electrifying blues performances. For Rogers and his peers, the blues is more than just an emotion; it’s a compelling call to action, a genre that fuels their creative drive and transforms their guitars into instruments of sonic exploration. They are at the forefront of a new blues era, ready to take their music beyond the stars.
Now at 28, Jamiah Rogers has matured from the promising young talent of the past decade into a powerhouse performer with a reputation that spans continents. With notable performances in Canada and Europe, and collaborations with artists like Annika Chambers, John Primer, and Billy Branch, Rogers has firmly established himself as a Chicago Blues luminary on the global stage. He has embraced the title of “Blues Superman,” a hero dedicated to keeping the blues vibrant and alive. Adopting the new stage name “The Dirty Deacon Denzel” and leading “The Dirty Chxrch Band,” Rogers continues to evolve, showcasing his exceptional talent and passion for the blues

The artist behind IAmJDR
Jamiah Denzel Rogers.
JDR on every stage.
JDR is the artist. IAmJDR is his official website and brand identity.
Born in Chicago’s south suburbs into a musical family, Jamiah was behind the drums at three and learning guitar by seven. What began in church, school, and his father’s band grew into a commanding sound shaped by blues, funk, rock, reggae, soul, and R&B.
Today he moves between guitar, drums, bass, keys, and vocals with one purpose: carry the spirit of the blues forward without putting limits on where it can go.
