This 1957 recording has not been available since the original LP issue which has been out of print for decades. In addition to the live concert at Westminster College this new CD also features recordings in the intimate setting of informal home studios and the after hours set at the Kappa Alpha House. John Chapman, pianist and founder of the group, surprised everyone by sitting in at the concert – he was discharged from the Army just in time! Chapman also played the after-hours set at a frat house which saw this mixed band jamming in front of a confederate flag long before the civil rights struggle was won.
